Dictionary Daze
The videos was very informative, there was
used a wide range of dictionaries and
the methods how to use them
correctly. We should keep our minds on the main tips while using
vocabulary:
1. Choose paper vocabulary, not an
electronic.
2.
Choose monolingual vocabulary.
3. Do not look words up in the
dictionary all the time; do not carry it with you here and there.
4.
Never give up on word. Find it whatever it requires, because sometimes we can recognize
the word in a context. For instance, to expand the vocabulary with remarkable ease, we
should remember that the dictionary is only an alternative and a thing that
building up confidence. To make yourself understood, dictionaries
are only the tip of the iceberg, but a big part and parcel are
language itself. According to speaker, knowing languare like the back of
your hand is not provided by dictionaries, because then
everyone could learn language after a while. We should take paper
dictionaries seriously, and select it by doing our best.
